It’s holiday time – lots of parties and guests. Here us a list of things that guests care about (but never say out loud
- Cleanliness (especially bathrooms)
They won’t mention it unless it’s bad—but they always notice. - How they’re greeted
A warm, genuine welcome sets the tone more than décor ever will. - Waiting time
They want to eat, dance, party, whatever – let the festivities begin, don’t let people sit around bored. - Comfort
Temperature, lighting, noise level, and seating matter more than aesthetics. - Attitude
They forgive mistakes, not indifference or annoyance. Be attentive to your guests. - Clarity & communication
Clear times for events. Clear addresses, directions, etc. - Value for time
They’re constantly asking themselves: “Was this worth it?” Was the drive worth the event? Were they comfortable? Were they taken care of and happy? - Consistency
They want the same quality today that you delivered last time. - Feeling remembered
Preferences, or small personal touches go a long way—even if they don’t say it. Did you remember that special pie that Uncle Joe likes or that special cocktail that your best friend loves? Treat them and remember what they like and prefer. - The ending
The goodbye and final interaction is what they remember most. Tell them you enjoyed having them and look forward to seeing them again soon. Thank them for coming, etc.
