With summer upon us, so is house hunting season.
Here are 10 common real estate “code words” and what they often really mean:
- “Cozy” – Small or cramped.
- “Charming” – Old, possibly outdated, but with character.
- “Up-and-coming neighborhood” – Not great now, but there’s hope.
- “Needs TLC” – Requires significant repairs or updates.
- “Fixer-upper” – You’re going to spend money fixing it.
- “Great potential” – Not great now, but maybe you can make it work.
- “Motivated seller” – Seller may accept a lower offer.
- “Unique layout” – Possibly weird or impractical floor plan.
- “Rustic” – Outdated or unfinished, especially in rural areas.
- “Convenient location” – Likely near a busy street or noisy area.
Think about them while house hunting!
