The 10 most hated foods in the U.S.

Brussel sprouts, not a favorite

The most hated foods in the U.S. often spark debate, but based on surveys and general public opinion, here are 10 of the most disliked foods:

Dwight Schrute and his beloved beets
  1. Licorice (Black Licorice) – Its strong, medicinal taste is polarizing. People do like cherry licorice, which is really not licorice.
  2. Anchovies – The intense salty, fishy flavor turns many people away.
  3. Liver – The texture and strong, iron-rich taste make it unappealing.
  4. Brussels Sprouts – Though they’ve gained popularity recently, their bitter taste is still a turn-off for many. Try them roasted. You may like that.
  5. Oysters – The slimy texture and briny flavor are divisive.
  6. Cottage Cheese – The lumpy texture is a major reason why some avoid it.
  7. Beets – Some say they taste like dirt due to their earthy flavor.
  8. Mayonnaise – Many people dislike its thick, creamy texture and tangy taste. Oddly enough, people like Miracle Whip, which is similar.
  9. Olives – Their salty, briny, and slightly bitter flavor is an acquired taste, yet there are many types of olives, and some are mild.
  10. Blue Cheese – The moldy appearance and pungent smell/taste put off a lot of people.

Do any of these make your list of most-hated foods? 😆

I actually like most of them. What about you?
